Before you ask

The questions couples actually ask

Do you have both a church and a reception ground?

Yes — that's the main reason couples choose Camilla Gardens. The ceremony lawn and the reception lawn are on the same site, so your guests walk between them instead of driving. Both are included in the grounds hire.

Is a noise permit included, and is there a curfew?

The noise / NEMA permit for your event is obtained by Camilla Gardens and included in the hire — you don't have to arrange it yourself.

Karen is residential, so there are limits on sound levels and on how late music can run. A few couples have been caught out by this, so ask the team for the exact cut-off time that applies to your date and plan the programme around it.

What happens if it rains?

Nearly every event here runs under a marquee, so rain on the day itself is rarely the problem. The thing to plan for is the ground: these are natural lawns and garden paths, and after heavy rain the walkways can get soft.

If your date falls in the long rains, mention it when you enquire — the team can advise on where to site the marquee and what to tell guests about footwear.

Can I bring my own caterer and decorator?

You have both options. The Wedding Grounds Package is the grounds on their own, which is what couples take when they already have their own suppliers. The Silver, Gold and Platinum packages include tents, decor, catering, cake, photography, DJ and MC arranged by Camilla Gardens.

Confirm with the team what a grounds-only hire allows for outside suppliers before you sign anything with a caterer.

Is there water and power on site?

Yes. Water and electricity are included in the hire, which covers caterers, sound and lighting. Washroom facilities come with cleaners on duty and toiletries provided.

How many guests can you take?

Up to 600. Packages are quoted in bands — 100, 150, 200, 300, 400 and 500 guests — so it helps to have a rough number before you call. See the capacity bands.

How do I actually book a date?

Send an enquiry with your date and rough guest number. Camilla Gardens confirm whether the date is free and send you a quote. Nothing on this website holds a date, and no deposit or payment is taken here — that's all arranged directly with them.
