Several hundred guests seated in a wide arc across the main lawn at Camilla Gardens, framed by mature trees

The grounds

Two grounds,one address

Ceremony and reception happen on the same site, so nobody is driving across Nairobi between the vows and the first dance.

Church grounds

Where the ceremony happens

A dedicated ceremony lawn with a clear aisle running to the altar, backed by mature garden trees and planted beds. It is set up and dressed before guests arrive, and it sits far enough from the reception ground that the two do not overlap.

  • Seating laid out in rows or in a wide arc, as you prefer
  • Aisle for a runner, petals or a red carpet
  • Natural garden backdrop — no draping needed for photographs
  • Guests walk to the reception, no convoy
The church grounds dressed for a ceremony: a white and red floral arch at the head of the aisle, rows of white folding chairs, and a planted garden bank behind

Reception grounds

Where the party happens

Marquee reception at Camilla Gardens with green garlands overhead, round tables laid in white and gold, and the garden visible through the open sides

An open reception lawn with room for a full marquee, round tables, a head table, a dance floor and a stage. Couples have used everything here from clear-roofed structures to traditional white hexagonal tents and long draped B-Line marquees.

  • Flat lawn that takes a marquee of any standard size
  • Power and water on site for caterers, sound and lighting
  • Room for a dance floor, stage and DJ setup
  • Washrooms with cleaners and toiletries throughout the day

The gardens

What the photographs are actually of

Beyond the two event lawns there are landscaped beds, a rockery with a water feature, and a live hedge boundary that keeps the road out of every frame.

Photographs only tell you so much about a garden. Site visits run Monday to Friday — message ahead so someone is there to show you both grounds.
